Scar Drawing – A Step By Step Guide

Drawing Scar, the iconic Disney villain from "The Lion King," can be a creative and engaging process. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you draw Scar.

Step 1: Basic Shapes Start by drawing an elongated oval for Scar's face. This oval should be tilted slightly, with the top part wider than the bottom part.

Step 2: Facial Guidelines Draw a horizontal line near the middle of the oval and a vertical line slightly off-center. These guidelines will help you place Scar's facial features.

Step 3: Eyes Scar has menacing eyes. On the horizontal guideline, draw two small, narrow ovals for his eyes, one on each side of the vertical guideline. Add small ovals within each eye for the pupils and elongated, downward-pointing eyebrows to give him an evil expression.

Step 4: Nose and Mouth Draw a small, pointed nose at the bottom of the vertical guideline. For his mouth, start by drawing a curve from one side of the face to the other, making it slightly asymmetrical to create his sinister smile. Add two sharp canine teeth protruding from his upper jaw.

Step 5: Ears Draw two small, rounded ears on either side of Scar's head, just above his eyes.

Step 6: Mane Scar has a distinctive dark mane. Draw a series of jagged, irregular shapes around his head to represent his mane. The mane should extend upward and slightly behind his head.

Step 7: Body Extend the oval shape of Scar's face to create his body. His body is more elongated than a perfect oval and tapers toward the back end.

Step 8: Legs and Paws Add two front legs with paw-like shapes at the bottom. Scar's paws should have sharp claws. Draw his hind legs, which are thicker and slightly bent, with paws at the end.

Step 9: Tail Give Scar a long, thin, and slightly curved tail that extends behind him.

Step 10: Final Details Erase any unnecessary guidelines and refine your drawing. Add any additional details you like, such as the shadows and texture of his fur.

Step 11: Coloring (Optional) Use colored pencils or markers to bring Scar to life. He is typically dark brown with a black mane and yellowish eyes. The inside of his ears is pink.

That's it! You've successfully drawn Scar. With practice, you can improve your drawing skills and capture Scar's sinister and cunning personality even better. Have fun and enjoy your creative process!
